Mountain Day!

Yesterday was mountain day! We finally made our trip to Stevens Pass for some swoosh-swoosh-swoosh!

It was a beautiful day! And such fun to have a whole day playing in the snow with my favorite boy.
Well, I am only sort of paying little to no attention to what I am writing as I am mostly watching the beginning of the Oscars. I am hopelessly interested in what everyone is wearing, and I don't care how girlish that makes me sound; and seeing as I have even dressed for the occasion and am sipping ginger ale out of martini glasses I think I should get back to my business.

Happy Love Day!

Today the boy and I celebrated Love Day John and Yoko style. We had a "bed in" not for peace exactly but for some of our favorite things. Also, we didn't invite reporters. We had brunch in bed and munched on cheeses, baguette, Nutella, and sipped our beloved Orangina, while we watched the dvd of our trip to Paris.
It was a happy trip down memory lane. After all it was our spring break to Paris that helped me realize that Kent was the man I needed to marry. Beyond the fact that he is better than everyone...he was a man that made my dreams come true.

Feasting

Romancing

And licking various monuments. This is the Arc de Triumph.

This is also little Greta girls eight week birthday! So I would be doing you a disservice if I did not post her 8 week picture. This one is hot off the press and cute cute cute.

Well, enjoy this happy Valentines.
Lots of love,
The Walters

Getting up to speed

Now, thanks to our Visitor I have a little catching up to do.
I never did do my posting on the nursery. Leaving her room behind was the hardest part of the move I think. I wish I had a picture of it all set up just so, but I did run over there and took a few shots of the mural before it was painted over "apartment white".

It was Greta's little forest, and the trees bent over her crib for her to look at.
Now I get to start again from scratch (A blessing and a shame.) I have a few ideas.
Also, since the moved you missed out on Greta's day out- a series of pictures Meg took of us playing in the park while avoiding our "visitor" at home.
I posted a good amount of these on my Facebook if you are interested in peeking in on our fun day out.
And then lastly, but oh so importantly is Greta's first bath in her little pink tub. She has had about a zillion showers, but yesterday Meg and I put her in her own little tub to see how she liked it. She was much pleased.

The Visitor

Last week we were visited by an unwanted guest. And unlike most solicitors (youths wearing navy suits or school children selling wrapping paper) we killed this one and moved straight away.
Before you report us to the authorities you should know something of the nature of our visitor, as a matter of fact I happen to have a picture of him right here.
Although charming in oils, he is not so charming when prowling around your house in the dead of night snacking and pooping in corners.
It has been a tiresome week of moving, but we are happily 5 doors down from our old address. Kent has been a champion and did all the moving (with the help of Ryan) while Meg and I snorganized the house completely on the other end. (I had washed my hands of that entire residence and didn't care to discover any of his friends-and-relations (if any) and sully them.)
However things are looking a whole lot brighter now, literally, as our new space has a lot more sunlight and warmth. I think we will be very happy here, just us three!
Well, I best be going there is all kinds of nesting to be done!

Super Barley!

So I think that this is my favorite picture ever. Somewhere across the planet someone is calling for help. The Barley is heeding their call.

So Meg came over the other day with her kickin' camera and took some impromptu pictures of the Barley in her cuteness. Which spawned the idea to do family portraits!
More on that soooooon!

P.s. We got a new camera so now we can capture all of the Barley's subtleties!
